Adam: That you hopefully recognize as meaning “Monday.”
Raphael: 然后在这个句子的后面,我们有今天的第一个生字
Kirin: 假日.
Raphael: 是 假期 的假，跟 生日的日.
Adam: The literal meaning of the two characters is “vacation day”; as in a non-working day.
Kirin: 下星期一是一个假日.
Adam: “Next Monday is a holiday.”
Raphael: 然后她继续说
Kirin: 你打算去哪里?
Raphael: 你们记得打算是什么意思吗?
Adam: That means “plan.”
Kirin: 你打算去哪里?
Adam: “Do you have any plans on where to go?”

Adam: The first character means “the same.”

Adam: That means “classmate.”

Adam: “My classmates invited me to go to their house.” Note how the 请 here means “invite” as opposed to “please.”

Adam: The literal meaning here is “roast meat.” And that means “barbecue.”
Kirin: 我的同学请我去他们家烤肉.
Adam: “My classmates invited me to go their house for a barbecue.”
