Luise: 今天我们要教你们，我们在餐厅里面的桌子上，常常会看到的一些东西.

Kirin: 喔, 我很喜欢去餐厅吃饭.

Luise: 所以，下次你们去餐厅吃饭的时候，你们会看到我们今天教你们的东西.

Kirin: 好，我们开始吧!

Luise: 我们今天会教你们七种东西. 可是，有三个我们之前已经教过了.

Kirin: 真的吗? 哪三个? 快告诉我.

Luise: 慢慢来. 我先来形容，然后你们来猜.

Kirin: 好.

Luise: 平常我们都用什么东西喝水?

Kirin: 用什么东西喝水? 我的手吗?

Luise: 你平常在餐厅，会用手喝水吗?

Kirin: 喔, 我忘了我们现在说的是在餐厅里面.

Luise: 所以呢?

Kirin: 所以我们喝水的时候，我们会用杯子.

Adam: Previously, we taught you 杯 as the measure word for cups. Here we have

Kirin: 杯子.

Adam: which refers to a cup or a glass.

Luise: 好，接下来，平常中国人吃饭的时候，手上都会拿两个长长的东西. 那两个长长的东西是什么?

Kirin: 手上 – 两个长长的东西… 喔, 是筷子.

Luise: 对啊. 可是在国外，他们平常不用筷子吃饭，他们都用什么呢?

Kirin: 是手对不对? 最近我在电视上看到，在印度那边，他们都用手吃饭.

Luise: 我说的是 东西. 你的手是东西吗?

Kirin: 不是我的手，是印度人的手.

Luise: 还可以用什么不一样的方法来吃饭?

Kirin: 对了! 还有叉子. 很多外国人，他们都用叉子吃饭.

Luise: 对. 这个回答才是我要的.

Kirin: 还有什么，是我们还没教过的?

Luise: 好，我们吃饭的时候，我们会用筷子. 那我们喝汤的时候，我们会用什么?

Kirin: 汤匙.

Adam: The literal meaning of these two characters is “soup spoon.”

Kirin: 汤匙.

Luise: 对，那汤，平常都会在什么东西里面?

Kirin: 碗.

Adam: And that means “bowl.”

Luise: 所以，你喝的汤在碗里面. 那你吃的菜呢?

Kirin: 有时候菜也会在碗里面.

Luise: 那桌子中间的菜呢?

Kirin: 嗯，桌子中间的菜，会在盘子上面.

Luise: 对，所以我们今天的下一个生字是

Kirin: 盘子.

Adam: “Plate.”

Luise: 我们今天的最后一个生字有两个字

Kirin: 纸巾.

Luise: 这两个字，我们已经都教过了. 是卫生纸的纸，跟毛巾的巾. 你们猜猜看是什么意思.

Adam: The literal meaning is “paper towel”, similar to its English counterpart.

Luise: 对，我们也可以说

Kirin: 餐巾纸.

Adam: which gives us “restaurant towel paper.” As in the napkins you may find in a restaurant.
